Mangal Pandey (rising) ..Extract from History books

'Mangal Pandey - The Rising' is rising today (August 12) in theatres across the country.... But how much do we actually know about Mangal Pandey. All we have is a vague remembrance of one or two lines from our school level history books. So here is a small excerpt from a book which gives the history of actually what happened ...........
In the Footsteps of Mangal Pandey
Did the rebel of Barrackpore have anything to do with the events of Summer 1857? The historical record is limited. Extracts from a book by Rudrangshu Mukherjee :It could have been any ordinary Sunday in the cantonment of Barrackpore. The month was March, and odd time in terms of the weather in Bengal. It was nearly the end of spring. It was hot but summer was still a few weeks away. In the early morning and after sunset a cool breeze came in from the river...The sepoy lines in Barrackpore were quiet during the afternoon of 29 March in 1857. Most of the sepoys were lounging around, and the white officers were in their bungalows enjoying their siesta before preparing to go out with their families to attend evensong. Nobody anticipated that the serenity was about to be disrupted and history about to be made.In the late afternoon, a sepoy of the 34th Native Infantry, wearing his regimental jacket but in a dhoti instead of the regulation trousers, appeared before the quarter-guard. It was obvious that he was greatly agitated. He had with him a loaded musket and his talwar. He belonged to the 5th Company and his name was Mangal Pandey. He strode around in the quarter-guard, shouting to his comrades. He asked the bugler to sound the assembly and yelled at his comrades to join him: “Come out, the Europeans are here! Why aren’t you getting ready? It’s for our religion! From biting these cartridges we shall become infidels. Get ready! Turn out, all of you! You have incited me to do this and now you ***, you will not follow me!” This kind of open insolence was not common among sepoys, and a naik quickly carried the report of Mangal Pandey’s disorderly conduct to Sergeant-Major James Hewson. The naik, in his report to his white superior officer, added that Mangal Pandey was under the influence of bhang. In a few minutes, Hewson was dressed and was at the parade ground. He summoned the jemadar of the company and demanded to know why the sepoy had not been arrested. The jemadar explained his helplessness, “What can I do?” he said. “The naik has gone to the adjutant. The havildar is gone to the field officer. Am I to take him myself?” Hewson ordered him to fall in his guard with loaded weapons. Hewson later recalled that some of the men grumbled and that the jemadar did not insist on the men falling in or loading. As the sergeant-major approached Mangal Pandey, the latter took aim and fired. The ball missed Hewson who took shelter behind the bell-of-arms (a bell-shaped building where weapons were stored). A couple of sepoys tried to persuade Mangal Pandey to surrender his weapons. By this time, the adjutant, Lieutenant Baugh, had arrived on horseback. The incident was now poised to take an even more dramatic turn.Baugh galloped into the quarter-guard shouting, “Where is he? Where is he?” He was warned by Hewson, “To your left! Ride to the right, Sir, for your life. The sepoy will fire at you!” Mangal Pandey did exactly that and hit Baugh’s horse, which collapsed. Baugh extricated himself, drew one of his pistols from the saddle holster and ran towards Mangal Pandey who was reloading his musket. Baugh fired from around 20 yards and missed. He then drew his sword and rushed towards the sepoy. According to Baugh’s recollection, he had proceeded about halfway when Mangal Pandey drew his talwar. Baugh looked back to see where his horse was as he wanted to get his other pistol but the animal had wandered off. He decided to engage the sepoy and he was joined by Hewson, sword in hand...Baugh, in his turn, had received a cut on his left hand, which disabled it. He had another deep cut on his neck and a gash on the back of his head from a musket butt. More serious harm to Baugh and Hewson was prevented by Sheikh Paltu, a Muslim sepoy, who held Mangal Pandey by his waist while the British officers escaped from what could have been their deaths. The saviour of Baugh and Hewson released Mangal Pandey only when members of the quarter-guard threatened to shoot him if he did not let go of Mangal Pandey. The commanding officer of the 34th Native Infantry, Steven Wheler, now appeared in the parade-ground. He ordered the jemadar to arrest the defiant sepoy. The jemadar replied, “The men won’t go.” Wheler repeated the order twice and the jemadar told his men to advance. They proceeded a few pace, stopped and refused to go any further. Wheler realised the futility of trying to enforce his order...By now the news of the commotion in the parade ground had reached Major-General John Hearsey who commanded the Presidency Division. The General asked why the sepoy had not been arrested and he was told that the guard would not take orders... Hearsey then rode up to the quarter-guard. He pointed his pistol at the jemadar and said, “The first man who refuses to march when I give the word is a dead man. Quick march!” He then went towards Mangal Pandey; the guard followed while his sons covered the jemadar with their pistols. It was now Mangal Pandey’s turn to act. This is what he did, in the words of Hearsey:“It appeared the mutineer had suddenly altered his mind, I suppose seeing there was no chance of escape... He turned the musket muzzle towards his own breast hurriedly, touching the trigger with his toe. The muzzle must have swerved, for the bullet made a deep graze, ripping up the muscles of the chest, shoulder and neck, and he fell prostrate; we were on him at once. The guard calling out — ‘He has shot himself.’ A Sikh sepoy of the guard took his bloody tulwar from under him, for in falling he partly covered his sword with his body. His regimental jacket and clothes were on fire and smoking. I bid the jemadar and the sepoy to put the fire out, which they did... Dr Hutchinson being present, it was soon ascertained that the wound, though severe, was superficial, and the man was conveyed to the hospital.”One could say that as Mangal Pandey left the parade ground for the hospital, he moved away from history into myth. He did not die of his wounds. He was tried. the verdict was a foregone conclusion. He was hanged a few days later, on April 8. His actions created a name for the mutinous sepoys of 1857: the British officers called them Pandies. One incident on a fateful Sunday in March. Was it linked to what was to happen in north India in the summer of the same year? Who was Mangal Pandey and why did he act the way he did? What were the cartridges that he had spoken about? Why did he say he was acting for ‘our religion’?Even one hundred and forty-eight years after the event and after a considerable amount of research on the subject, we have little or no precise knowledge about Mangal Pandey. There is a name and there is an action. There is no record about where he came from. Who were his parents? Was he married? When was he recruited and by whom? Answers to all these questions are unknown and speculative. Mangal Pandey has no curriculum vitae to put up to the board of history. He could have preserved this anonymity, like innumerable other sepoys, had he not shot at his superior officers in Barrackpore. His was an unexpected intrusion into history.

INTERESTING CONVERSATION on God

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....answer
Prof: So you believe in God? Student: Absolutely, sir. Prof: Is God good? Student: Sure. Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
Student: (Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
Student: (Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Students has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.) Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it?In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God.You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?.....No one appears to have done so.So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir.. The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

Batman Begins....IIMK 2 begins

On 17th of June the movie went on international release. I wanted to go to Prasad's nd watch it on iMax, but putting 180 bucks a piece i decided to go to my old Skyline. We reached late nd amazingly enough the theatre isn't full. We went sat and watched the move. Atleast for the first 15-20 min I was confused which movie was being screened. I turned back to ask a fellow watcher and then ultimately ended up asking the torch guy for confirmation. Satisfied I sat down to watch the movie which looked like a 16th - 18th century warrior movie. Then after 15-20min some civilisation dawned into the movie when we saw Gotham city railway scene nd young Bruce. Let me go ahead with story as I can recollect.

"Batman Begins" actually is an origin story. Tracing young Bruce Wayne's fear of bats, through the years following the death of his parents, up through how the adult Bruce Wayne learns to fight, "Batman Begins" adheres to a carefully plotted course that patiently builds up to Wayne collecting cool gadgets, taking ownership of the batmobile, and donning the famous batsuit. Nothing's rushed and realism is the key to "Batman Begins". There's a logical reason behind how Bruce Wayne comes to possess each and every weapon, a logical reason why he's able to overpower even the most skilled villains.

The plot itself revolves around a plan to rid Gotham City of corruption at the expense of destroying the entire city, innocent citizens be damned. The city must fall for the common good.A special weapon will release a fear-inducing toxin into the water supply, using Wayne's own Vaporiser gadgets. Then the citizens will turn on each other and Gotham will cease to exist.

Directors Goyer and Nolan have reinvented a franchise that was all but left for dead after "Batman and Robin". It's the story of how one man turns his own greatest fear against his enemies, how he handles the guilt of seeing his parents murdered, and what he ultimately decides to do with all of his anger.
Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Katie Holmes as Batman's long-time friend and love interest, Liam Neeson as Bruce's mentor Henri Ducard, make up the strong supporting cast and each are terrific. Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow has a powerful supporting negative role.

All of the story is so absurdly humourless that it is dramatically inert, as if Nolan had decided the only way to make the Batman character more substantial was to put weights on his wings. The result is handsome and logical, but missing the spark that would make it thrilling which makes it especially appealing to moviegoers who don't know the backstory of Batman, his friends, or his enemies.

I personally rather prefered Batman and Robin a lot for all the gizmos and the star cast it had. Also the Bat mobile which is show cased here is absolute plunder can't imagine such a beast premitive looking vehicle was being used. Even bond has better vehicles. Bale I felt had lesser of Charisma of earlier stylings of Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney. It is the most faithful to the origins of the comic strip and it sets up a series very different from the four made by Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher between 1989 and 1997.

Personally I wouldn't suggest my friends to go and watch a movie for its has only 40 minutes of action and 2 hrs high drama in it which I feel loosely fits with the comic strips action paced entertainment.

I then came back around 4 o clock types and then started to pack off the bags for Banglore train at 7pm. I was planning to reach early and catch up with things at my room. Some my 2nd year journey at IIMK is all improvedegin with fresh attitude and new iimprovementsI wish to write and post the improvemetns and changes in my attitude over the past one year shortly. Until then keep blogging Swaroopudoo.

Chennai Summer project

My summer project started off on April 4th. I reached Chennai, which happens to be one of the more liked cities by me on 3rd April. I came via Tirupathi and by the time I reached there it was 8:10pm. Unfortunately I had no telephone numbers of my cousins which I forgot at my dressing table back home. I got hold of my old list where my Aunt's number was there. I tried to contact her but in vain. The number was over 6 years old and had changed by now. I tried to contact home but my dad's gone out for a wedding, mom isn't aware. After some anxious moments I got the number, and landed at my cousins place at around 10pm in an auto who charged me 90/-. My cousins had too kids Tyeni (Akheel) and Mini ( ??). Cousin is working at port trust so he stayed in port trust quarters at place called Toll gate, which is the northen most part of Chennai and is the place where the Chennai corporation limit ends. For the first leg I've stayed in Chennai for 6 nights and 5 days. I happen to get my tickets for Hyd only 5 hrs before leaving that too WL tickets. I spend some 6 weeks in Hyderabad for my field work. Had a good experience here meeting and talking to different kinds of people. Had my first chance to dominate the recruiting agency/ person.
I started back for Chennai on 17th. This trip happened to be my maiden 2AC trip. Boring and dull life in AC boogies. I almost slept for major part of the journey as I was ill the earlier few days. Came back to Caucasians home at around 7:30am. They had some guests by then who were cleared by evening :-)) . Then the usual journey started, Tollgate-Tondiarpet-Royapeta-Old Washermanpet-Parrys-Highcourt-Central-Hindu-Peters-TLM-TVS-Teynampet(SIET)-Cenotaph Road. Everyday up and down the same route. The journey lasted for nearly 1 to 2hrs depending on availability of transport. Beyond our tollgate came Thiruvuyuthoor. I for the 1st time went to Spencers Plaza, spend some time venturing through those countless number of shops. I m almost confused at the magnamiy of the complex. I bought lots of DVDs this time round, unfortunately some aren't working.

On 28th , the day of journey and incident's the only day I was free from my project work I had my first Andhra meals, I completely filled my belly. Now on that day I actually understood what an Andhra meals was and what my liking was. Andhra meals - Rice, Lots of pickles, 2 or 3 fries of vegetables, tomato Dal in tamarind in ghee, Appalam and fried curd chilies.
What a south Indian meal was rice in lots of Sambhar and Rasam and Kavoulum (kuura in Telugu) in aplam and lemon pickle. We use lots of tamarind and dal unlike the south Indian meals which is dominated by sambhar rasam, which fortunately is used only as a side dish. 1st time in life I also hit the swimming pool. Visited the community pool by the side of Marina. That was one bit of experience to cherish. I never swam so I was always 90 degrees to the ground. Teyni taught me some steps to follow which made me a little comfortable for a while. Was there in the pool for 1/2 hr, and came out totally exhausted, my lungs were too tired and seemed to be under high pressure. When I wanted to walk my feet were too heavy to carry my body, strange feeling but a good one.
Then started off to home by Charminar express, my good old train traveled too fast unlike its reputation. Reached Sec'bad at around 8. I forgot my fav short on train and my belt at my cousins house. Overall a good expresses to cherish.

Finally Sri Vekatesharudoo darshana bhagyam

The wait is over, the call has come, time to seek blessings for future venturex and thanks givings for the past blessing and well being and luck he bestowed me with.
1st of April I finally started off from Hyderabad. Initially we planned to start off after my 1st year exams around 23rd from Hyd, we then even booked the tickets for the same dates too, but fate wouldn't allow, I had MIS case submission, which I inevitably delayed the process till the last hour. So the trip was delayed for a week. Finally I decided to take the trip on my way to Chennai for my summers. Aboard Venkatadri express I started off my journey at 8pm with my dearest friend to Tirupathi the pilgrimage town. It's been over two years that I last visited and over 4 years that I offered my hair at Tirupati. I reached there at around 8:45am had bath and started off our ascend by APSRTC bus. We had our darshanam slated for 11am.Due to regular delay we got a chance to visit the holy shrine only at around 2:30pm. We took our blessings and ventured out for some shopping for that day. Later in day I went to KalyanaKatta for tonsure. Here had my cool and refreshing bath which refreshed me off already deprived energy levels.

Above is the snap of tonsuring at one of the Kalyanakatta. Later that day retired a bit early as I was feeling too tired. The next day Sunday we started off on a two hour journey to one of the most famous Vinakaykudi temples in AP. The Lord Ganesh, or Varasiddhi Vinayaka as they call here is the deity of the temple at this place, Kanipakam. One peculiarity of the Vinayaka Idol is that it eternally grows in size. To testify the fact that the Lord is growing, the Silver "Kawacham" that was manufactured 50 years ago is now too small for the idol. The temple was built in around 1333 I guess by Chola dynasty. It was till a few years a small one. But over the years with growing importance of Tirupati this temple has been expanded and new complex has come about. This was the first time I was visiting the place, and I felt that it was almost as busy as the Tirumala Balaji temple but on a smaller note. Everytime I go visit such divine places I feel strengthen and spiritually risen and blessed. Hope and pray everyone's dreams and ambitions come true.

Hope next time around I go systematically for my trip. In sense 1st Varahaswamy darshanam, next tonsure, next pushkarini dip, next the darshanam. I really hope all this can be done. And I want to see little greenary on hills which has been missing in this particular trip

Bye Bye PGP - Convocation of Seniors

End of March 16th marked an end of end term written exams though we are still left to submit a case and a take home exam. March the 18th is one special day for our seniors they would be graduating and would be getting their certificates. A sad day coz many others like me would be loosing close friendships we build during this one year. Our seniors are very special in way we get to learn the first steps of being an MBA from their experiences not to mention the exam papers and cases they let us solve. I do remember the long talks we used to have till early mornings with few of them.
Anyways the convocation was held in the amphitheater on the campus lawns and was chaired by Mr.Muttiah (BCCI) while Mr.Kiran Karnik President Nasscomm was the chief guest. The convocation which happens to be the first in my life was one colorful ceremony where the faculty, the board, and the students were all robed and presented with their degrees in presence of their parents and well-wishers. The joy on the faces is quiet remarkable too
!!! Quiet a Kodak moment. I too managed to get some snaps when I sneaked back for a talk with Kiran Karnik. He was one person to meet. His 1/2 hr address at the podium was very interesting. The person is such a gentleman and very open person too. He spoke very freely with all of us when the ceremony concluded. This is snap I got with him.
This snap is of our faculty at the cermony

The ceremony had a gloomy patch too. Our PGP Chairman and Students Affairs chairperson are leaving the institute. The PGP Chairperson is held at very special place by the student community. Apart from this our PGP chairperson was yet to recupeprate from the demise of his mother who passed away few days back.

Wat am I doing ????

5 more days left for my year end at IIM K, 3 subjects are already through and 5 more left. Tomorrow is Enivronmental management. Gosh and today we had financial Mangement and HRM submission. I got a confession to make and also I am starting to wonder, where am I ultimately heading. Huge huge reasons, firstly I m free riding almost all of group projects why I don't know. Secondly I m totally low on motivation and energy and totally off- track.
Free riding in HRM,EM totally I didn't even know wat went on..MR is ok but major part I've free ridded that's very very bad considering the fact that I am gonna do my summer project based on MR. I am too tired these days don't know what happened to those enthu levels which I used to have, Today I was trying to enter my e-banking site and I wasn't able to do so..reason being that I forgot my login...Gosh I can't believe wats happening. Lack of focus nd ambition. What am I suffering from?? I need to be highly proactive and thrusting and highly initiative at my age and kind of profession I m going to get in. Cases these I am not reading lack of concentration if more pages are there to be read. I need some support from somewhere I need some direction, some path to walk, I need to be positive in life, grow and start aiming higher. Work hard achieve and not just be content with what I have.....
Cheer me up ....
I need every possible bit of motivation

Can't wait to go to Tirupati

It's been some 2 yrs that I have been to Tirumala Tirupati, Last time was I believe in July 2003. I always believed that I am indebted to the almighty for all I have received. I always got more than I can imagine, more than what a normal boy can get. I have had my share of good things and bad things in life and I believe that one has to pay for his deeds more in his present life than in his next birth. I far try to maintain displine in life, hope its balances everything. My ultimate goal might be to be a satisfied person who has no desires but only to serve people and give back to the community and mother earth. Nobel yes , how's it possible I don't know..but I'll try to one day ...
Back to Tirupati I first went to Tirumala ( Tirumala is the place where Lord Balaji's abbot is. Lord Balaji is manifestation Lord Vekateshwara or Lord Vishnu who is presumed to be the most powerful God of Kaliyug,(Kaliyuga prathyaksha daivam).Lord balaji is promised other devata's that this avathara is meant for people in kaliyuga ,as kaliyuga is said to be the time when human lives with too much of adharma and commit sins . HIS temple in tirumala is the Richest temple in the world .
http://www.tirumala.org
For first time i've set foot on the seven hills I was mesmerised but the sanctity of the place and divinity of nature. Me being a proper city goer never have ever seen such a beautiful place ever in my life, full of hills and valleys, greenary and water spots..Thats the closest to nature I thought I could ever get . Then in 2001 I had my 1st toncture to Lord Balaji, 2nd time went I hadn't had it.
My 2003 visit...
This is a snap from Aler which is the last stop before embarking the seven sacred hills..

This time in 2005 I am planning to have one, I am thankful to Almighty in my senses. I truly dedicate anything in me to him wholy, and sincerly hope I'll die by his name.
I truly want to be there again and again be at his service always ....

Flash Back - IIMK trip from Hyderabad

It is 1st of July 2004 where I set off my journey to IIM K . Earlier day i've had calls from Sandeep Reddy asking me to meet him, I wasn't that interested and had very little time to make it to him. The packing was greatly helped by uncle. I and my mom at that moment were having a fight so we were rarely talking to each other. On 1st the d-day my parents stayed back from there office which they usually never do. I dropped some stuff for Poornima at her class then had to take my bike to register and get it packed. Having completed the formalities I came back around 11:30 am by bus ( I m a miser ). The train was supposed to depart at 12:30 (7028 Sabari Express) and Shailendra Chak and Sandeep Reddy gave enough calls to confirm that I m on time, but pity tat I wasn't there at home to take calls. In some 10min I freshened up and again started packing some stuff and added one more petty luggage. Already I had a suitcase, 2 duffle bags, a large cover, a computer box. Mom spoke something while i was leaving in our car. Dad accompanied me along and at the station we waited eagerly for the train. As the train came came in Chak made it to station just 5 min before with his friend from IDRBT. Sandeep Reddy was accompanied by his father.

I train started nd we introduced ourselves then later had lunch. Chak surprisingly like the Pulihora(yellow tamarind rice) a lot, which I later realised from the fact that Chak had considerable Hyderbaddi influence in form of Four Soft , Oracle and GE. Chak and Sandeep Reddy became involved in close conversation right away and spend major part of journey time in conversation. I generally take time to get accustomed. We played cards for some 3 hours during the night. An elderly man at that time happened to scold us for keeping the switch on, Chak shouted back at him "SHOUT U R MOUTH"and he quietly went back to his snoring. I was quiet taken by this incident I cldn't do this to stranger and definitely not an old man.
Fine by next morning we were traveling in Tamil Nadu and we were wondering and visualising the coconut country by that time . Then came coimbatore and we entered Kerla in a while . The 1st glimpses of this was awesome.

Me Sandeep Reddy & Shailedra Chak

In Kerala it always drizzled and for the first few months I've seen so much of rainfall which I haven't seen in one single Decade in Hyderabad. Overall such a good and beautiful place to be in is Kerala. Being lover of hills and valleys, greenary and wilderness I fell in instant love with the place and the campus. My memories of visits to Vizag and Tirupati's Ghat roads and valleys and trees which made a dream for me deep within has finally been fulfilled. Dream to stay close to nature in a valley surrounded by trees, hills and water bodies. IIMK fortunately has all these things. Just great to be in this beautiful place.....
